Originally from Huddersfield, Jan Ellis sang in a fabulous mixed voice choir.  Since moving to Oswestry several years ago, she has tried several very good mixed choirs but none sang the kind of music she liked. Therefore after a lot of procrastination Os Rocks was born.  Currently Jan plays piano for choir, chooses and sources the music.

Lisa has been a member of the soprano section of the choir since it’s formation and has been a member of several choirs including Cantamus Girls Choir.

From an initial meeting at the Bailey Head pub in March 2017, where Jan thought no-one would turn up, we now have over 50 members.

We are a mixed voice group who sing (or are going to sing) songs by Queen, Toto, Radiohead, Nirvana and other rock/pop songs.  We are aiming to sing songs you would not normally associate with a choir!

We meet on Tuesday evenings from 7.30 – 9.00 at Memoral Hall, Oswestry (next Argos).  We would particularly like more men to join – as we have plenty of very good female singers and our men are just a little bit outnumbered at present.

We are a very friendly bunch of all ages and we have a lot of fun socially as well as at rehearsal.  All we ask is that potential members can sing in tune, you don’t need to be able to read music.
