Os Rocks was formed in 2017 by Jan Ellis. Jan sang in a fabulous mixed voice choir in Huddersfield and since moving to Oswestry several years ago, she has tried several very good mixed choirs but none sang the kind of music she liked. Therefore after a lot of procrastination Os Rocks was born.  Currently Jan sources the music and helps with the running of the choir

Our current musical director is Lisa Lombardi.

Lisa has been a member of the soprano section of the choir since it’s formation and has been a member of several choirs including Cantamus Girls Choir.

Lisa is assisted by our pianist Jo Hey.

We are a mixed voice group of more than 50 members. Our repertoire includes songs by Queen, Greenday, Radiohead, Nirvana and other rock/pop songs.  We are aiming to sing songs you would not normally associate with a choir!

We meet on Tuesday evenings from 7.30 – 9.00 at The Hermon, Oswestry.  We would particularly like more men to join – as we have plenty of very good female singers and our men are just a little bit outnumbered at present.

We are a very friendly bunch of all ages and we have a lot of fun socially as well as at rehearsal.  All we ask is that potential members can sing in tune, you don’t need to be able to read music.
